Beware of scam!

Forget to mention the most important sneaky underhanded scam. It's says in the commercial that you can call anywhere in the world! Well guess what I was only able to call Canada wide and was restricted to 2000 minutes a month! This is also not mention in their "Unlimited"

What the small print says: "We can correct any error in pricing and information at any time!" Hiding fee in small print 50.00 (WiFi 75.00 fee)  to configure your equipment 50.00 fee for installation/ wiring. 12.00 for them to ship their equipment to you. Rate don't include 5.95 monthly access fee Unlimited is govern by our Fair Usage to protect abuse!"



In December 2013 I needed to change my phone and internet company because the prices were getting unaffordable for me to keep the service! I am on disability and on a very restricted budget! So I decided to sign up for Comwave since they had a so call special going on television! 6 months free phone service! It sounded good since they say you can try it for free with no risk! I ended up with a 3 year contract since I thought I was getting a good deal! To say the least that is totally misleading! I was told there would be a onetime fee for connection of $50.00 and a charge of $12.00 for shipping and handling for their equipment to be sent to me! I was told this was my only charge. I went ahead and gave them the permission to withdraw the money from my account, big mistake! After that I was getting charge added up that I was not advised about.


Billing kept showing up in my email and every time I call to try to fix it up new charges would show up! Internet services charge, 2 routers charges for rental $50.00 each and on and on! That was their explanation for the charges they were withdrawing from my account! The first payment withdrew was 70.06 on December 11 2013 that was supposed to be my only charge! Bill kept appearing in my email and I started freaking out since I did not have the money to cover them! On January 7 2014 I went to my bank to see what was going on since I receive more billing and how much Comwave were taking! Got a big surprise! I found out at that time that on the 19 of December 2013, 8 days later after the first charge, there was another charge of $82.15. At this point January 7 2014 I stop payment because I was only two days with Comwave when that was charge and I found that to be misleading and called them! Again I was told many thing why these charges where there and they were trying to justify them! The last straw was on the 17 January 2014 when I received billing for another 130.00. I call them and told them they would not be allowed to go into my account and that I revoke their right to steal from me! They said I only owed them $50.00 and sent them a check to cover it! Well low and behold I was told that my account would be suspended if I did not let them go into my account and withdraw what they want! On the 22 January they suspended my phone and internet service and I called them for an explanation! Supposedly now I owed them another $108.00+.

 In all my year of dealing with Phone Company never had I had my service disconnected until I was with another provider! Apparently Comwave think they can do this! They should be investigated for misleading customer in thinking that they are saving when indeed the cost are much greater then they say! I told them because they suspended me that gave me the right to break my contract and they told me no but I went ahead and cancel my services with them and now I am facing a termination fees! How can this Company get away with this! What if there was an emergency no phone to call for help.

Only one billing matches the amount taking out of my account, all others billing  where for things that I was not told or aware of.

 Thank goodness for cellphone or I would be in trouble! One month with Comwave has cost me 202.21 and the cost keep going up, not including the $108.00 they say I still owed them and termination fee! This is outrageous! So many hiding costs are misleading and they should advise and disclose the full price of sign up! There is no saving here and ending up costing me more than my previous provider!

I have included and attached copies of the billing so that you can see for yourself how Comwave mislead their customer and I feel totally justify in cancelling my service for dishonest practice! Times are hard but made harder by Company like Comwave that take advantage in misleading the public! This need to stop now before some poor person like me thinking they would be saving ending up losing more money that they bargain for or can afford!

I wanted to start a petition to stop misleading and gross misrepresentation of their products. I really need help on this one! If you are good at petition would really like your input on how to go about it! These days they have product that claim to do certain things and it doesn't' even come close! Unlimited is not unlimited since there is a cap! It time to stop the lies and for the CRTC to really have a code of conduct that forces Corporation to divulged the true cost of their product! No more small print it should be in Bold print! Not everyone can read them and the Corporation knows that and take advantage of it!

Here is what they e-bill me for and a copy of my bank account and the charge they took out and tried after sending $50.00 cheque. I revoked their right to go into my account and take anything more! Enough is enough!

Bit Torrent & Peer-to-Peer Downloading

While most providers limit these types of services all the time, Comwave provides unrestricted Bit Torrent and peer-to-peer downloading everyday between 2AM and 2PM (off-peak hours).  During peak hours (typically in the evening), Bit Torrent downloading speeds are limited in order to allow maximum capacity for video streaming services, such as Apple TV, Netflix, YouTube, etc.  Enjoy full downloading speeds during off-peak hours; just program your software to deliver your content by the morning.
